It's the appropriate way to bring our year to a close!
Here's the recipe for our fondue...
Chocolate Fondue
Ingredients
- Strawberries
- bite-size
chunks of banana
- bite-size
chunks of kiwifruit
- bite-size
chunks of pineapple
- any fruit, actually!
- bite-size
cubes of cake
- crispy
rice squares
- chips
- pretzels
- pickles--a sweet and sour experience for the daring!
Chocolate Fondue:
- 1 cup
(250 mL) milk chocolate chips or semisweet chocolate chips
- 2/3 cup
(150 mL) whipping cream
- 1/2 tsp
(2 mL) vanilla
Put
chocolate chips into medium heatproof bowl.
Pour cream into small saucepan; heat over medium-high heat until hot and steaming but not boiling. Remove from heat.
Carefully pour hot cream over chocolate chips; let stand for 2 minutes.
Add vanilla; whisk until smooth (about 2 minutes).
Scrape into mini slow cooker or fondue pot. Keep warm on low setting. Makes approx. 1 1/4 cups.
