Beginning our Snow Sculpture

 Our snow block has been resting for over a week now, allowing the snow to compact and form a firm block so that it is ready for sculpting next week.  Stay tuned to find out what it will become!

Friday, February 12 is the beginning of Festival du Voyageur here in Winnipeg!  We're getting ready here at our school as well. Wednesday, February 17 we will be dressing like voyageurs or pioneers and having a taste of pea soup, bannock and maple syrup!  We will need 1-2 parents from each class to volunteer to bring bannock on Wednesday morning; please check your e-mail messages for a notice regarding this event.

We also had more "visitors" in one of our classes who spoke French quite well!
