Sam Amuse!

This past week many students were evaluated in their speaking, reading and written work in preparation for reports this term. We will continue more evaluations this coming week!

Our classroom has been organized into centres so that I can work with small groups and evaluate individual students.

At our computer centre (and at our computer lab) students have enjoyed a great online French game site called "Sam Amuse" which was developed by a team of teachers from École Opasqua in the Pas, Manitoba.  Check it out!

The Sam Amuse site helps students learn and practice French vocabulary based on these themes:
  • classroom vocabulary
  • colours
  • shapes
  • coloured shapes
  • numbers
  • letters
  • Hallowe'en, Christmas and Festival du Voyageur vocabulary
The "lexique" gives students an opportunity to learn the vocabulary before playing the games.  Just click on a button and you can hear the pronunciation of a word!

Have fun practicing French with "Sam Amuse"!

Bonne fin de semaine,

Mme Christensen
