Le Canada se souvient...Canada remembers

Veteran's Affairs has made available wonderful resources for classrooms for Remembrance day in both official languages.  Some of these are posted on our French bulletin board this month:

Vimy Ridge is located about 175 kilometers north of Paris in France.  For more information about the role of Canadian soldiers at Vimy Ridge, follow this link:

Students from Grades 4-8 who finished their French projects this week took some time to peruse these papers above.

Earlier in October, one of our Gr. 7/8 groups visiting Le Croissant stopped at nearby Coronation Park to see the memorial to our Canadian soldiers, which is inscribed in English and French.

Let us all be grateful for the countless sacrifices made by our soldiers so that we can enjoy the many blessings we have today.

Mme Christensen

P.S. Voici l'indice...Où est le drapeau français?
