First Visit to Le Croissant

Some students from our Grade 5 and 6 classroom visited an authentic French boutique and bakery, Le Croissant at 276 Taché.

The students each put in their requests to Mme Boulanger en français.

In the Grade Four/Five and Five/Six class, we have been practicing talking about what we do not take on our pizza:

Je ne prends pas des oignons sur ma pizza.     (no onions)
Je ne prends pas des anchois sur ma pizza.     (no anchovies)
                               et
Je ne prends pas des éléphants sur ma pizza!    (no elephants!)
Je ne prends pas des chaussettes sales sur ma pizza! (no dirty socks!)
C'est dégoûtant!!!   (That's disgusting!!!)

Our discussions became quite lively as we discussed various unusual toppings to put or NOT to put on pizzas! We expanded our vocabulary a fair bit!  I'll have to try, as one student suggested, plain potato chips on pizza.

Oral and reading evaluations will also continue in all classes next week.

Merci beaucoup to the student who left this on the whiteboard by the end of classes Friday!

Bonne fin de semaine,

Mme Christensen
